Fozzy
Fozzy
The band Fozzy has really always been about one thing: having fun. What started out for guitarist Rich Ward as a weekend cover band soon became an internationally signed act with the biggest star in professional wrestling, Chris Jericho, as its lead singer. Their first few releases still had Fozzy playing covers but with adopted stage names and a backstory written for the movies. When you have such high-energy performers like Ward and Jericho – it still is debatably on who jumps higher, Ward on stage with his guitar or Jericho in the ring – creating a ‘for fun’ band was easy, however Ward and Jericho aren’t just entertainers. Ward is probably one of the greatest and unjustly so, underrated riffers in rock and metal today. Jericho singing ability and overall passion for music makes one wonder just how he is able to find the time to excel in pretty much everything he does. It was these qualities that pushed the band to drop alter egos, get rid of the backstory and write original music.

Over the course of the next 7 years, the band did just that; three albums worth to be exact. The records were fit in between Jericho’s wrestling, TV and writing career. It wasn’t until 2012’s Sin & Bones though that the band really started to hit their stride. Jericho was winding down his involvement with sports, the band was touring more than ever before and their live show was as strong as ever. The entertainment, the fun factor, the showmanship were all there and in full force. More so than any point in their band’s career.

I’d be on stage looking out in the crowd and see such an interesting mix of people out there, comments Jericho, young kids, older long haired guys with ponytails, the denim and leather wearing dudes, Stuck Mojo fans, people that just knew me from my wrestling career, but the thing is they all had one thing in common; they were having fun. They were dancing, grooving, whether they wanted to or not. To me, that’s what Fozzy has always been about and I think with this new record, we really captured that vibe.

Do You Wanna Start A War, out June 24th in North America, was once again produced by Ward. It features 12 tracks, including the singles, Lights Go Out, the title track and the ABBA (yes ABBA) cover, SOS. The band will kick off the album promotion playing at this year’s Rock on the Range, Carolina Rebellion, Rockfest and many other shows throughout the US. By the time the album is released, a horde of fans will have seen Fozzy live and heard new tracks off the album. They will have witnessed one of the greatest performances they’ve ever seen, they will have witnessed one of the best frontman in any genre of music sing some of the catchiest songs they’ve heard in ages and most importantly, they will have had the best time in their lives doing it.
Through Fire
Through Fire
Never give up… Never give in… those words are the foundation of which Through Fire was born. This four piece hard rock band hailing from Omaha, Nebraska quickly caught the attention of several industry executive’s and they’ve recently inked a deal with Sumerian Records. With anthems such as “Stronger” and “Breathe”, Through Fire is here to make their mark in the rock world.

Comprised of lead singer Grant Kendrick, guitarist Justin McCain, drummer Patrick Mussack and bassist Jesse Saint, the bands live show is sure to rally fans throughout the world. Impacting radio along with their video premier for “Stronger” in January 2016, Through Fire set out on the road with Adelitas Way and Failure Anthem for their first tour.

Following up that successful run and introducing the band to the masses, they went out for 7 weeks with industry veterans OTEP and supported a very strong first showing at Active Rock radio across the country.

July 1, 2016, their debut record “Breathe” dropped nationwide. The band then found themselves playing a Danny Wimmer mega fest, “Chicago Open Air” in Chicago followed by various radio shows.

Their single “Stronger” saw great success at radio reaching #27 on the Mediabase Active Rock charts and powerhouse Octane coming on board to get behind the track. In less than 3 weeks “Stronger” made its way to the #1 most played song on the station and sat at the #1 position for the Big Uns Countdown for 5 weeks. With impressive digital sales, reaching #1 on ITunes, #1 in single downloads within the genre and outselling more than half the bands in the top 30 the band garnered the attention of NBC Sports and found song placements with “Stronger” in mixed martial arts matches, The Stanley Cup Finals and its way into 3,200 health clubs across the country and Canada.

August gave the band a short run with Nonpoint and a tour to follow with Sick Puppies and Letters from The Fire. The band is gearing up to release their next single to radio, a headline tour on the East coast and finishing the year with a run with Escape The Fate.

Through Fire looks to solidify a permanent spot amongst the industry’s elite acts. Never give up… Never give in… They are just scratching the surface of whats to come!
Santa Cruz
Santa Cruz
SANTA CRUZ is a Finnish modern hard rock band formed on the hot summer of 2007 in Helsinki by Archie and Johnny. With the mutual aspiration of playing their rear ends off and kicking people’s derrieres the two teens shared the same goals and similar same passion for a band to be. Inspired by greats as Skid Row and Guns N’ Roses, the name Santa Cruz was chosen as the title of their vision of a perfect hard rock band. In the beginning of the following year, Middy joined in to play the bass. A year and a half (and two drummers) later Taz was found to man the drum throne permanently, cementing the line-up of the 4-piece band.

Introducing themselves to a larger audience in the semifinal stage of the Finnish nationwide band competition Ääni ja Vimma in 2009, Santa Cruz released two demos in 2008–2009, the latter of which, “Another Rush Of Adrenaline”, received remarkable reviews on the media. Word of mouth about Cruz crew’s explosive stage presence and rabble-rousing shows spread like wildfire, resulting in a lengthy succession of shows (the band played well over a 150 shows while still in demo stage) which in turn established the band as the hardest working men of metal mayhem in Finland.

After dropping a self-released EP of six songs under the title “Anthems for the Young ‘n’ Restless” and a music video for the title track, the band was already news internationally too. The media attention and an unbroken continuum of hellraising performances had the Finnish hotbed label of music with edge and attitude, Spinefarm Records, lend their ear to the tunes of the Cruz Crew. Eventually in 2012 the band scored a worldwide record deal with the Finnish metal behemoth, and after intensive studio sessions at Hollola and Helsinki, the ass-kicking, 11 track label debut “Screaming For Adrenaline” was unleashed upon the anticipating audience on April 26th, 2013.

As the chant in the debut single “Relentless Renegades” quotes Julius Caesar “We Came, We Saw, We Conquered!,” the album was released to raving reviews and cracked the Top40 on Finnish album chart. The album saw the sound of Santa Cruz truly take flight, assaulting the ears with an explosion of pure adrenaline and attitude in the form of honest Rock ‘n’ Roll, not to mention the virtuoso level of musicianship, especially in the flashy guitar work of Archie & Johnny. The band was aiming high and the Party had now seriously started. Now everyone started to take note.

In 2013 the band signed an international booking deal with TKO Agency (Motörhead, Anthrax, Buckcherry etc.) and subsequently played their first three British Tours. The year also saw the fearsome foursome continue their heavy gigging domestically. In addition to complete conquest of Finnish stages big and small, Santa Cruz also paid their first visits to Germany and Belgium supporting their heroes Skid Row.

In between all the touring Santa Cruz somehow also found a way to squeeze in the time to prepare for the recording of their 2nd album. Completing the recordings slow and sweet, meanwhile they took over the Finnish radio waves with their two highly regarded vinyl/digital singles, “We Are the Ones To Fall” and “Wasted And Wounded”, each accompanied by smashing videos by up-and-coming L.A. –based director Ville Juurikkala. And when 2014 came to a close, “We Are the Ones To Fall” was the most aired song of the year on the Finnish nationwide station Radio Rock. Mission complete.

In December 2014 the band did their first North American press trip, which was wrapped up with an amazing acoustic performance at the New York Offices of Spinefarm Records. The band played to a packed room, in front of some of the most influential press and industry heavyweights in the area. The four song acoustic set featured “We Are The Ones To Fall”, “Aiming High”, “Wasted And Wounded” and rounded things out with an emotionally powerful cover version of Led Zeppelin’s “Thank You”
Dark Sky Choir
Dark Sky Choir
Dark Sky Choir is an original hard rock/metal band from NY/NJ. The band was originally formed by 4 veterans of the area music scene as a classic metal tribute band playing the music they all grew up listening to. Metal fans continued to flock to their area shows in large numbers and the conversation about writing their own music began almost immediately. Spurred by the soaring voice of vocalist/front man “Hollywood How", it was inevitable that “these guys have to do originals.” “Hollywood How” has spent many years on the local scene fronting various bands, most notably a Judas Priest tribute band, which showcased his stunning vocal range. Guitarist Fred Gorhau spent the last 7 years touring the USA and Canada with the holiday-themed progressive band The Wizards of Winter, playing alongside some of the original vocalists from Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Fred has also toured the USA and Europe as guitarist for the metal band Exxplorer. Drummer Mike Sakowski has been a drum teacher and career drummer for the past few decades. He has performed the local scene with countless cover bands and also toured the US and Europe with metal band Exxplorer. Veteran bassist Joe Stabile has been a constant member of the NY/NJ scene with decades of experience performing with 80’s bands Monroe, Taylen Storm, hard rock outfit Lords of Mercy, countless national acts, and touring with veteran metallers Anvil.
Inspired by a lifetime love of metal, Dark Sky Choir brings years of live and recording experience to the table with their own brand of hard rock and metal. Their self-titled debut is due to be released in the spring/summer of 2017, and is sure to gain national attention on the metal scene.
